The world of Quality Management can be dizzying. You’ve slogged through brochures, waited through webinars, and sat on the phone for hours. You’re looking to find comprehensive training that’s interesting and convenient in a package that doesn’t break the bank.
We understand that taking the next step in any journey can seem overwhelming. In this tell-all, we’re answering questions frequently asked by people looking into more training for various quality professions.
What’s the Difference Between Live-Online and In-Person?
One of the most common distinctions between APEX QA and other QA training marketplaces is the mediums by which we instruct. For many training outlets, a pre-recorded set of videos is released for purchase with little to no interaction between the seller and the buyer.
At APEX QA, we offer two different ways to engage with instructors and complete training.
In-Person
A classic classroom approach to learning featuring one of our critically reviewed instructors. Some of the benefits included in an in-person training include:
- Hosted in cities all over the country
- Catered in-session meals
- Face-to-face collaboration
For those who prefer a controlled environment and tried-and-true structure, in-person delivers on a delightful experience complete with new learning and new people.
Live-Online
Hosted on GoTo Training’s virtual platform, live-online classes deliver a convenient yet personal medium to explore learning. Some benefits for this method include:
- Connect from the comfort of your home or office
- Lower price tag
- Identical curriculum to in-person
Our instructors aren’t any less charming through the computer screen! If your schedule’s busy for the foreseeable future, live-online might be right for you!
At APEX QA, we believe quality and feedback are second nature to any good learning environment. No matter the venue, our professionals leave feeling confident and invigorated for whatever QA opportunities lie ahead.
Are the Start Times of Each Class Fixed or Amenable?
Live online classes begin at 9 AM EDT and conclude at 6 PM EDT. For in-person classes, the times shift to reflect the local time zone. While the dates and times of classes are listed as a fixed schedule, they are susceptible to change according to the needs of instructors and students.
The default medium of any APEX QA class is live-online. While more in-demand classes offer opportunities to take the class in-person, each class has a designated live-online listing on our website.
To suit the needs of companies who want to bring a live-online only course to their employees, on-site private classes are available. Reserved by companies that seek to educate more than just their QA team, larger group classes allows fluent communication and transparency between the quality team and other departments.
What does “Probitas Certified” Mean?
The quality of our aerospace classes are recognized and approved by the body overseeing aerospace QMS, the Probitas Board. Some classes, including our AS9100 class, offer student the chance to take a QAS exam on the final day of class, qualifying them for a Probitas Authenticated Certificate pending their success.
In addition to a Probitas Authenticated Certificate, our classes list the amount of Continuous Professional Development (CPD) hours students will receive on completion. These hours prove a continued commitment to learning in aerospace QMS and help professionals apply for recertification when their current one expires.
Not limited to our aerospace programs, similar qualifications and opportunities for improvement come in the form of Exemplar Global Authenticated Certificates. The chance to receive this credential is featured in both our medical device and automotive classes.
Will I Get a Certificate?
Yes! Upon successful completion of the course, APEX QA will issue an official certificate recognizing your achievement and mastery of the course material. It’s a valuable credential to showcase to employers or management—and a testament to the high standards we uphold in every training session.
Qualified lead auditors will also enter our Rolodex! This is a great way for APEX QA to extend work opportunities if an organization has requested a consultation somewhere in your area.
What Advice Do You Have For New Auditors?
Upon completion of a course, our experts suggest joining communities centered around quality management. For example, the International Aerospace Quality Group (IAQG) is an excellent place to ingrain yourself if you’re looking for work opportunities or just somewhere to stay up to date on all things having to do with aerospace quality standards. Additionally, IAQG offers more training opportunities to become a registrar auditor on their behalf.
However, learning doesn’t stop after one class. Professionals who have completed classes with APEX QA often return to take more courses. The most common for repeat students is our Root Cause Corrective Action class. This course is a comprehensive look at the post-audit process, finding gaps in quality systems, tracking them to the source, and alleviating the problem-the essence of any capable quality professional.
